Reliance Consumer Products, the FMCG arm of Reliance Retail, has officially launched ‘Sun Crush’, a refreshing fruit-based juice, in the Indian market. This move follows its agreement with Ceylon Beverage International, a company owned by legendary Sri Lankan cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan, to acquire the brand rights for India.
Competitive Pricing & Market Expansion
‘Sun Crush’ is priced at an affordable ₹20 for a 200 ml pack, positioning it as a strong competitor against popular brands like Dabur’s Real, Tropicana, and Paperboat. With India’s beverage market projected to reach ₹1.47 trillion by 2030, Reliance aims to expand its presence in the growing segment.
Strategic Growth in FMCG Sector
Reliance Consumer Products has been aggressively expanding its food and beverage portfolio, having recently introduced Independence Cola and acquired Campa Cola. This launch aligns with the company’s strategy to capture a significant share of the Indian soft drinks market.
